We have selected 3 hospitals and 1 government office as beneficiaries of our PPEs and masks! See List below:
Philippine Orthopedic Center - Quezon City, MM
Bulacan Medical Center - City of Malolos, Bulacan
Philippine Hospital Association-selected hospital
Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office - Bulacan
Bulacan Medical Center, formerly known as Bulacan Provincial Hospital, is a tertiary state-owned hospital.
Due to rise of confirmed cases in Manila and some cases in some parts of Bulacan, BMC is currently experiencing difficulty procuring PPEs and other protective gears. We have received approval from Dr. David Rawland Domingo MD to donate PPEs and Masks to BMC. Special Thanks to their Dialysis Center for reaching out to our team.
We have read the personal appeal of their union leader. With the approval of POC's Medical Center Chief and Chief Administrative Officer, we have set an agreement to provide PPEs and masks from our Donation Drive.
We have reached out to Ms. Pearl Samonte of Philippine Hospital Association for their recommendation regarding hospitals with urgent need of PPEs.
We will have the name of the hospital any day next week.
Emergency Responders of PDRRMO in Action!
Considered first in contact, PDRRMO emergency rescue team is definitely prone to Covid-19. Help us provide them with protective gears so they won't worry contracting the virus while they are on duty. Donate and save our frontliners!
Mrs. Felicisima L. Mungcal, Local DRRM Officer of Bulacan, expressed their heartfelt gratitude for our upcoming donation.
We have been looking or a Personal Protective Equipment supplier but with a very high demand, finding one is a needle in a haystack. Luckily, Dr. David Rawland Domingo MD, thru SMS gave us HTP Clothing's contact information. They already received some donation of PPEs from them. They are using nylon taffeta instead of polyester. It is more durable and lasts longer than those made from polyester. After considering some possible contractors we have decided to choose HTP Clothing based on the following :
Location - They are located in Balagtas, Bulacan
Materials - They are using Nylon Taffeta (approved material)
Delivery date - They have offered the earliest date for pickup
Quality - approved by one of our hospitals
Also, we would never compromise the safety of our frontliners, that is why we have chosen them to supply PPEs for our health workers.
A friend together with her boss is planning to send more or less 1000 pieces of masks from Hong Kong together with some materials needed in creating face shields for our health workers.
Do you know a way for it to reach Philippines? Send us an email at xian@xedarph.com or send SMS to 0966-230-8439. Your help will be greatly appreciated.
One of the biggest challenges when doing a small donation drive is that we have this fear that what if, only a handful individuals will head to the call.
Enter our friends from South Korea headed by Sir Rodney "Neon" Queman. He has gained the nickname "Chairman" because of his proven leadership, dedication and compassion for fellow OFWs in Korea. He has mobilized the community multiple times during typhoons and other disasters that hit the Philippines.
We are very thankful for them partnering with us. Bayanihan po tayo!
Thru our quick call for donations, we were able to provide BMC's dialysis center staffs with N95 masks and Surgical gloves. Salute to all those who have selflessly donated cash thru online banking to provide a quick solution while we are planning for a project to provide our frontliners PPEs and other protective gears.
Time is of the essence. Knowing they are working without proper protection while attending to around 90 patients per day, is the daily dilemma our BMC Dialysis Center's staff. Hearing their appeal for surgical masks, we have tried a nearby drugstore for online purchase and free delivery service. One day less of danger is a good start in our goal to provide reusable PPEs.
