A Data Storytelling example inside Power BI. Please note that report tabs are available from tabs 1 to 11 and tab 12 is for the data storytelling slides.
As a good practice, it is always good to provide a readme page for intended users of your dashboard. In this example, while it is an instructions page, using live data to show how the dashboard has seen improvements with the indicators will prove it is easier for users to grasp the concept easily especially for not so familiar types of measures used.
While making a summary dashboard look as concise, accurate and informative, it is sometimes good to provide it in an infographics style dashboard. This makes the report look more interesting.
For advance users, especially those who are already familiar using different type of filters, it is always good to see different ways of presenting data.
linecharts/sparklines are best use for viewing trends.
It is always good to be able to compare your numbers versus competitors
Here we can see the use of Quadrants as a way to immediately identify who needs more attention to improve their scores. Q1 contains agents who have a lot of working hours but low production numbers. Q2 contains the average performing users (high production hours, high volume of production). Q3 are the top performers. Low working hours but high volume of work while Q4 contains people who needs a lot of improvement.
Helped in monitoring quality of work, high CSAT score but ensuring agents are not skipping tickets.
EPMO is a another way of showing overall error tracking and improvement.
Design to meet those quick Monthly Executive Reviews. Only those KPIs needed to be seen are included in a very simple presentation
With the power of filters, viewing a big table is easier.
It is always a good practice to include a definition of terms.
Sometimes when they need a summary for all KPIS, measures, etc, the best way is to use simple linechart/sparklines.
Anything to help first-time users.
